Job Description
This is a key HR generalist role working for a highly prestigious organisation. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Team Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR services in the department and supervision of a team of five HR staff. 

The HR Team Leader will provide sound HR advice, undertake project work, and build strong working relationships with staff from around the business. The successful candidate will be fully CIPD qualified.

Key responsibilities:

·      Manage the HR function to provide a full, professional, effective and efficient customer-focused service covering all aspects of human resources, compliant with legislation and policies and procedures.

·      Support managers in handling individual employee cases to ensure compliance.

·   Advise and influence managers to ensure professional staff management practices are consistently applied.

·         Review current processes to identify areas where improvements can be made and playing a key role in managing change.

·        Liaise with managers when recruitment requirements are identified to agree job descriptions, adverts and recruitment media.

·   Ensure that pre-employment checks are carried out effectively, including compliance with visa and immigration law.  Act and advise accordingly on any visa and immigration issues for employees, casual workers and visitors.

·   Oversee the monthly main payroll process and associated documentation, supervising the work of the team.

·         Manage the use of the electronic HR system.

·  Support managers on all aspects of employment, including absence management, performance management, maternity and family leave, flexible working, disciplinary and grievance etc.

·         Implement effective performance management policy and practice.

·         Communicate professional and personal development opportunities to staff.

·         Advise on reward, compensation and benefits.
